Obituary For Nina Simone Griffin

MS. NINA SIMONE GRIFFIN – Age 57, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Charles David Graham, brother, Michael “Nicky” Griffin, and grandparents, Henry & Mary Griffin and Zenovia & Charles Graham. She is survived by her loving son, Demetrius A. (Frances Washington) Griffin; mother, Mabel Griffin Parker; grandchildren, Daqwon Teal and Taiya Constant of Dalton, Georgia; sisters, Karen Gilliespie and Devada Graham of Cleveland, Tennessee; brothers, Detrius Graham, Fabian Medhanie, and Kerry “Fuzzy” Graham of Cleveland, Tennessee; special aunt, Sharon (Michael) Whitener; aunts, Edna B. Easley, Imogene (Ray) Burse, and Eloise Griffin; uncle, William C. (Mary) Griffin; special cousins, Shawn Weaver, Avis Jones, Anitra Hamilton, Audra “Micki” Mack, and Shelena Wilkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia, with Pastor Edward Hoggs and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
