Obituary For Johnny Lavern Robbs

MR. JOHNNY LAVERN ROBBS - Age 73, of Chicago, Illinois and formerly of Dalton, Georgia went to rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was a United States Army Veteran, was a graduate of Chicago State University, and was a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company. He will be remembered as a very caring honest person who was a firm believer in what he believed in. He enjoyed traveling and taking trips with his loving wife. He also enjoyed attending family events. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Evelyn Robbs, and siblings, Mattie Robbs, Sony Robbs, and Donald Green. He leaves to carry on his memory are his lovely wife, Marie Anderson Robbs; one son, Johnny L. Simon; four grandchildren, Destinee Defell, Deja Simon, Johnny L. Simon, Jr., and Morgan Calvin; niece, Debra Sheets, three nephews, Sam (Sharon) Pender, Donald Green, Jr., and David Green; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at the Gatling’s Chapel, 10133 S. Halsted St., Chicago, Illinois 60628. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the funeral hour. Interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Arrangements by Gatling’s Chapel, Inc., Chicago, Illinois.
