Obituary For Esther Mae Parks Famber

MRS. ESTHER MAE PARKS FAMBER – Age 93, of Canton, Georgia and formerly of Dalton, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Northside Hospital in Canton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Gertrude Green Parks, son, Ellis Famber, Jr., sister, Betty Dancil Powell, Mildred Hassler, Mary Elizabeth Parks, and Willie Ruth Taylor White, and cousin, Delores Parks Anderson. She is survived by her three daughters, Reitha (George) Glover of Lilburn, Georgia, Loretta (Jasper) Geathers of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Dianne (Greg) Haag of Minneapolis, Minnesota; three sons, Alvin Famber of Canton, Georgia, Martin Wayne Famber of Suwanee, Georgia, and Allen Ray (Tiwana) Dancil of Davis, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tracie Famber, Rose (Dewayne) Edwards, Rodney Geathers, Jacquelyn Hernandez, Brian Famber, Anitra Simmons, Kelly Haag, James Haag, Linda Dancil, Deidra Dancil, Jeanette Richardson, Allen Ray Dancil, Jr., Trina Dancil, Ray Dancil; sisters, Modiestine (James) Brown, Vera Griffin, and Carol McCrae; special cousins, Gloria McCarteny, William Porter and Henry Porter; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan Street, Dalton, Georgia, with Pastor Kenneth Scaife and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
