Obituary For Rosie Ella Woods Harris

MRS. ROSIE ELLA WOODS HARRIS – Age 94, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Nelson Woods and Louise Gregg Woods. Later her family moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Harris, Sr., ten other siblings, and one daughter, Gladys M. Harris. She was a member of Evans Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church of Fayetteville, North Carolina for over fifty years. She is survived by her son, Oscar J. Harris, Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters, Annie W. Moss of Dalton, Georgia, and Rosie H. Hayes of Fayetteville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; one sister-in-law of Florence, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Service for Mrs. Rosie Ella Woods Harris will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Rev. Tommy Deal officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
