Obituary For Dessa Mae Richardson

MRS. DESSA MAE JOHNSON RICHARDSON - Age 76, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Monday, January 29, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1941 in Summerville, Georgia to the late Elige and Annie Laura Robinson Johnson. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, was formerly a member of Hilliard Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Richardson, daughter Sheila A. Johnson, and brother, Joseph Liege Johnson. She is survived by her four sons, Michael (Debbie) Johnson, Gardel Johnson, Paul Johnson of Rossville, Georgia, and Derrick Richardson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brothers, Herbert (Jenelle) Johnson of Rossville, ; sisters, Opal Moore of Summerville, Georgia and Vanessa Fain; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 879 GA-341, Chickamauga, Georgia, with Rev. James Clark and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.
