Obituary For Michael Lane Rhodes

DEACON MICHAEL LANE RHODES – AGE 65, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Rhodes, Sr., and Mattie Mae Hill Rhodes, two brothers, Elbert Rhodes, Jr., and Larry Tyrone Rhodes, one grandson, Shockwon Rhodes. He was a Deacon of New Harvest Church of Ministries. He is survived by his two daughters, Denise (Willie) Johnson of Cohutta, Georgia, Canise Rhodes (Al Hester) of Ooltewah, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Antwoine McGhee, Mykeah Johnson, Tavaris Rhodes, Alaysia Moss, Destini Moss, one great grandchild, Elijah McGhee; sisters, Patricia Washington, Grace Carson, Brenda Dwight; stepmother, Minnie Rhodes of Dalton; one uncle, William Rhodes of Chicago, Illinois; special friends, James (Hilda) Simpson, Monieca Taylor, Iva Lee Macon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. in the Chapel with Rev. Rodney Weaver as Eulogist, and Dr. Nicky P. Starling, Presiding. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 11:00 A.M. on Saturday. The family will receive friends Saturday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.
