Obituary For Brenda Rounsaville Burks

MS. BRENDA FAYE ROUNSAVILLE BURKS - Age 73, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at a local health care. She was born November 7, 1944 to her loving parents, the late Clifford Rounsaville and Louise McCutchins Rounsaville. Two sisters, Grace Zayas, Sharon Goodwin, two brothers, James Rounsaville and Robert Rounsaville preceded her in death. Brenda graduated from A. C. Carter High School Class of 1962 and 1966 Class of Spelman College. She worked as a music teacher at Harper High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Brenda served on the City Council of Summerville and Air Force Reserve at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, Georgia. She is survived by her brother, Cicero A. “Sonny” Rounsaville of Summerville, Georgia; brother in law, Paul Goodwin of Rome, Georgia; aunt, Aileen McCutchins, special friend, Verdine Shepherd of Summerville, Georgia; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 P. M. at West Fifth Street Church of Christ, 24 Fifth Street, Summerville, Georgia with Brother John Lewis and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Summerville Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
