Obituary For Cavalier Eugenia Hudgins Martin

MRS. CAVALIER EUGENIA HUDGINS MARTIN - Age 84, of Lyerly, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 with her family at her bedside. She was the widow of the late Lovett Martin, Sr. and was preceded in death by her son, Robert Martin, parents, the late Thelma Finley and Louise Strickland Finley. Survivors are her five sons, Lovett Martin, Jr. of Summerville, Georgia, Larry Martin of Lyerly, Georgia, Richard (Joyce) Martin of Marietta, Georgia, Vincent Martin of Woodstock, Georgia, and Virgil “Stef” (Phyllis) Martin of Calhoun, Georgia; six daughters, Vivian Prince of Atlanta, Georgia; Vickie (Clifton “C.J.”) Gooch, Sr., Vaddie (Herbie) Harlan of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Brenda (Leon) Hall, Sr. of Summerville, Deborah (Steve) Hudson and Tammy Martin of Cartersville, Georgia; two sisters, Helen Taylor of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Daphine Morrison of Rome, Georgia; five brothers, Larry Waldo (Earnestine) Finley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Timothy (Linda) Finley of Summerville, Sanford (Sophia) Finley and Woodrow Finley of Cleveland, Ohio, and Hugh Finley of Cleveland, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, two aunts, Marie Brown, Minnie McElroy, one uncle; Robert “Bob” Strickland of Summerville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. at Pond Spring A.M.E. Zion Church, 3255 Taliaferro Spring Road, Lyerly, Georgia, 30730, with Pastor Jesse Porch, Eulogist and Rev. Robert Barrett, Presiding. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service, Interment, Pond Spring Cemetery.
