Obituary For Catherine Marie Blackwell

MRS. CATHERINE MARIE BLACKWELL – Age 88, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. She was born on November 26, 1929 to her parents, the late Cicero Kenion and Maggie Mae Bonds Kenion. She was married to the late Monroe Blackwell for fifty-six years who passed away on June 3, 2008. Her sister, Ollie Mae Cooper, preceded her in death. Mrs. Blackwell retired as a Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center after twenty-nine years and was a Volunteer at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a faithful life member of Liberty Baptist Church on South Pentz Street. She is survived by her loving children; daughter, Pamela Blackwell; son, Robert (Vicki) Blackwell of Dalton, Georgia; stepson, Jean-Paul Gourvennec; granddaughter, Anne Gourvennec of Sainneville, France; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service for the Homegoing of Mother Catherine Marie Blackwell will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 3:00 P. M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Charles D. Catchings as Eulogist, Rev. William Q. Watkins, Presiding, and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 12:00 noon on Saturday until the funeral hour on Sunday.
