Obituary For Roy Lee Mack

MR. ROY LEE MACK, SR. – Age 75, of Douglasville, Georgia and formerly of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Powder Springs Nursing and Rehab Center. He graduated from Hill High School with the Class of 1962, was retired from the U. S. Army, and was employed by the V. A. Hospital as a Supply Clerk. Those who preceded him in death are his father, Norris Mack, mother, Alene Winkfield Mack, sister, Mary Mack, and one grandson, Douglas Rucker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Smith Mack; four daughters, Catherine (Rodney) Joiner, Angelia Rucker, Cristal (Cleveland) Jackson, and Jewel Mack; five sons, Roy Lee (April) Mack, Jr., Todd Mack, Morris Mack, Robert Brown, Jr., and Clement (Gail) Johnson, Jr.; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; sisters, Alice Chiles, Shirley Nared, Edith (Joey) Shropshire, and Melvene (Larry) Roberts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service for the Homegoing will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at New Bethel Christian Fellowship Church, 4009 Round Pond Road, LaFayette, Georgia 30728, with Pastor Ken Carson and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Thursday after 11:00 A.M.
