Mr. Donald Washington "Duck" entered into rest Friday, October 25, 2024 at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.

Donald Washington “Duck” was born on January 30, 1962, in Estill, SC. In his earlier years he moved to Augusta, GA and was raised by his grandmother and family. He attended Silas X. Floyd Elementary School, A.R. Johnson Middle School and Lucy C. Laney High School all in Augusta, GA. He was consistent with his casual conversations and enjoyment of life. He loved his family and friends. In the midst of his candid nature, he showed compassion and devotion to those closest to him.

He was preceded in death: Father, Bobby Washington; Mother, Pearl Washington; Aunt, Elease Gillians; Grandmother, Marjorie Colbert and many others.

He was survived by his sisters, Grace Burrows and Andra Lewis; brother, Homer Lewis; uncles, James Washington, Melvin J. Colbert (Brenda), and John H. Colbert (Kira); aunts, Julia Burns, and Carrie D. Myers (Jackie); cousins, Sebron Colbert (Ruby), Takiyah Colbert and many other loved relatives and friends. He loved life and lived it according to his way.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 3:00PM at W.H. Mays Mortuary Chapel. The remains will lie in state two hours prior to the service.
