The gorgeous Ms. Cathy “Todd” Gainey departed this life on February 3, 2025, at her residence. Todd was born on August 8, 1970, in High Point, NC, to the late great Mrs. Virginia “Denny” Gainey and David “Billy Boy” Gainey. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, David “Bank” Gainey.

Cathy graduated from Southwest High School in Guilford County and was known for her brilliance and incredible personality. She worked as a dietitian at High Point Regional Hospital for several enjoyable years; there, she thrived in a vibrant work environment, cherishing the friendships she built with her colleagues as they shared laughter and support.

Todd had a deep passion for shopping. Her exceptional sense of style reflected her creative spirit, and she cherished every opportunity to express herself through her fashion choices. She embraced her love for fashion wholeheartedly. She was deeply devoted to her family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being in her life.

Left to cherish her memories are her father, David (Linda) Gainey; her son, Tamez T. Gainey of the home; three sisters, Patricia (Stacey) Tabon, Linda (James) Nelson, and Beverly (Bobby) Gainey all of High Point, NC; a special nephew, Demetrius (Rovia) Gainey of High Point, NC and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Presbyterian Church USA, 309 Summit Road. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
