Robert “Rob” Lee McKissick, 72, peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Born on December 9, 1952, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Mr. Willie McKissick and Mrs. Atlanta Knuckles McKissick. Robert was a proud graduate of Benjamin E. Mayes High School and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Whitestone.

In his career, Robert worked at Milliken Research. In his early years, he was a DJ known as Flaming Master Lee. His carpentry skills led him to establish his own business, R&D Repair. Robert had a wide range of hobbies including home improvement, working on automobiles, cutting hair, hunting, and fishing. He will be forever remembered for his outgoing personality.

Robert leaves cherished memories to his wife, Barbara McNally McKissick; his daughter, Bianca McKissick; his stepson, Terrance McNally; his siblings, Wille E. McKissick and Elizabeth McKissick; his aunt, Ruth Lee Knuckles; four granddaughters, Amirreah Smith, Sha’Khiah Smith, RaKenzie Jones and RaNija Jones; his devoted friend, Linda Fuller; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny McKissick; his sisters, Inell McKissick Goggins, Lorine McKissick Shells, Betty McKissick Oglesby and Mary McKissick Keith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025, at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Friend and Family visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th, at the home of his sister, Elizabeth McKissick, 293 Fox Dr., Spartanburg, SC.
