Bluegrove, Texas – Gene Green, 78, died peacefully February 8, 2025, at United Regional Hospital. He was born August 27th, 1946, in Bowie, Texas, the son of the late James Ivy and Mary (Houck) Green.

Graveside Services will take place on Friday 14, 2025, at 2:00pm at Brushy Creek Cemetery under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Green, Pete Green, J Green, Kenneth Green, Jack Green, Jesse Green, and his sisters Adeline Cox, Nancy Farley, Betty Moore, Thelma Lee, Alberta Green, and Oleta Green.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Shannon Burleson and Shellie Green. Gene has 5 grandchildren Alex and husband Randy Atkinson, Cody and wife Kristen Strickland, Abbe Strickland, K’lyn and husband Tristen Urbancyzk, and Caden Green. He had 3 great-grandchildren; James Strickland, Hudson Allen and Brandon Atkinson.
