Willie Cal Davis, affectionately called “Beaver” by his family, was born on December 9, 1948, in Sallis Mississippi. He was the youngest of thirteen children born to the union of Charlie and Katie Lee (Hannah) Davis.

Willie's Christian journey began at Macedonia Baptist Church in Sallis, MS, where he was a member until moving North. In Wisconsin, he enjoyed visiting the church of his three sisters, St. Paul Church of the First Born (COTFB). He also enjoyed attending revivals.

After graduating from Long Creek High School in Sallis, MS, Willie relocated to Milwaukee, WI. After securing employment, he returned to ask Mr. and Mrs. Teague for their daughter's hand in marriage.

Willie was united in marriage to Ruthia Mae (Teague) Davis on July 6, 1970, in Kosciusko, MS. This union was blessed with two children, a daughter, Yolanda M. Davis, and son, Calvin Davis. Willie and Ruthia were happily married for 43 years until her passing in 2014. He never removed his wedding ring.

In 1974, Willie began his career with Miller Brewery. There, he worked in several different roles and departments, including distribution, the warehouse, and packaging and shipping. He retired in 2005 after 31 years. Following retirement, Willie's days were packed with activities. He regularly began his day with a workout at the gym. An avid and skilled fisherman, he spent his summers on the water indulging in his favorite hobby. Willie enjoyed grilling and frying the fish he caught for family and friends. He also enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. Most days, he could be found simply sitting in his backyard, relaxing and enjoying nature.

A true sports enthusiast, he was particularly fond of professional and college football. He was either predicting games or discussing losses. Another longtime hobby he enjoyed was off track betting (OTB). He always looked forward to his visits back to Mississippi where he enjoyed riding three-wheelers, fishing, and spending time with his family and lifelong friends.

Willie Cal Davis found eternal peace on January 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his: devoted wife, Ruthia Mae Davis; beloved son, Calvin Davis; parents, Charlie Davis, Elijah Davis, Harry Davis, Preston Davis, John Davis, Clyde Davis, and Joe Eddie Davis.
