Obituary For Danette Brooks Jett

MRS. DANETTE BROOKS JETT – Age 64, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia. She was born on December 29, 1953 to the late LeRoy Brooks and Betty J. Bennett Brooks. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries. One sister, Bernice Blair, has preceded her in death.

She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-eight years, John Robert Jett of Summerville, Georgia; daughters, Michelle (Walter) Person of Dalton, Georgia, Tanya (Travis) Winston of Dallas, Georgia; son, James Hudson, Jr. of Fort Payne, Alabama; sister, Angela (Kenneth) Underwood; brother, Jackie Shropshire of Summerville; grandchildren, Ajeé, Tierra, Devon, David, and McKenna; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 281 Georgia Avenue, Summerville, Georgia 30747 with Pastor Kevin Roach as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Summerville Cemetery.
