Pauline Long, 85, passed on Tuesday, February 11, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Allen Temple AME Church with Rev. James A. Platt, officiating. Burial will follow in Edmond Cemetery. Public viewing is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, February 17, 2025.
Ms. Pauline Goodrich Long, age 85, of Phenix City, Alabama, peacefully transitioned from this life on February 11, 2025, at Parkwood Healthcare in Phenix City, Alabama. She was born on April 12, 1939, in Russell County, Alabama, to the late James Goodrich and the late Minnie Denard Goodrich.
A devoted woman of faith, Ms. Long was an active and cherished member of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Phenix City, where she found joy in worship, fellowship, and service. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit of love touched the lives of many.
Ms. Long dedicated her time and heart to children as a grandparent volunteer at Susie Allen School. She had a special gift for nurturing young minds and brightening their days with encouragement and care.
She leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Tommy (Ethel) Long and Bobby (Sharon) Long; two devoted sisters, Rosa Tolbert and Sarah Womack; two beloved grandchildren, Dominica (Kim) Long and Demetrice (Curtis) Long-Adams; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Goodrich and Mack Goodrich; her sisters, Ethel Hudson and Bertha Nelam; and her grandson, Jeremiah Johnson.
Ms. Pauline Goodrich Long will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering faith, and her love for family and community. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
