OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Ethel Jones, 91, who entered eternal rest on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA.

Mrs. Jones memories are being cherished by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by: her beloved husband, C.L. Jones, who was affectionately known as “Putt” and an infant son; her parents, Fenner Jefferson Sr. and Octavia Kennedy Jefferson; four sisters, Mildred Taylor, Augusta and Annie Mae Jefferson and Octavia O’Neal; and five brothers, Roosevelt (her infant twin), Fenner Jr., Lucius, Frank and Gilbert Jefferson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
