MR. CLYDE DEWEY “C. D.” DEMPSEY, SR. – Age 71, of Dalton, GA passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born June 19, 1953 in Columbia, SC to his late parents; father, Clyde Eural Demsey and mother, Dewey Mae Maroney. He maintained various jobs and was last employed by Walmart. He enjoyed participating in poker and pool tournaments in surrounding counties. “C. D.” was notoriously known for doing things his way, yet he was adored by his family and close friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Ray Dempsey and step mother, Ada Pearl Dempsey

He is survived by his children, Christal (Lafonte “P. J.”) Price, Clyde (April) Dempsey, Jr., and Jake (Kristy) Dempsey; grandchildren, Selena Wilcox, Joseph Martinez, Ethan Dempsey, Cody Dempsey, Hailey Dempsey, and Jaxson Dempsey; great grandchild, Ryker Wilcox; siblings, Alma Ford, Lester (Renee) Dempsey, and Tammy (Kevin) Niblet; close friend/brother, Johnny Driggans; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
