Delois Goins Haynes was born November 1, 1962 to the late Sam Goins, Sr. and Glady Goins.
Delois graduated from Brooks County High School in 1981. She worked as a cook for O’Neal’s Restaurant and a housekeeper at Hampton Inn. Although Delois enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends, her main goal was keeping her family close. Delois attended Welcome Hope Church in her younger years and Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church during her adulthood where she became a member.
On Friday, February 14, 2025, her earthly journey came to a peaceful end. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Haynes; her son, Lonnie King; sister, Shirley Ann Graham; brother, Sam Goins, Jr. and her two favorite uncles, Floyd Daniels and Ozell Staten as well as several aunts and uncles.
Delois G. Haynes cherished her life and legacy of love leaving wonderful memories to her loving kids, LaKeisha King and Adrain Goins; her grandkids, Anasha Mitchell, Adrianna Goins, Kamari King, and Adrian Goins; her mother, Gladys Goins; her significant other, James Jones; her sister, Roselyn (Bruce) Gibson; her brothers, Lee (Diane) Goins, Micheal (Sonja) Goins; her brother-in-law, Authur Graham; her aunts, Mattie Miller and Emma Daniels and host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 3PM-7PM.
