Willam Taylor, 70, passed on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. EST on Friday, March 7, 2025 at McCartha Drive Church of Christ located at 165 McCartha Drive, Columbus, GA with Minister Steven Short, officiating. Burial will follow at the Ft.Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing is 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

William Taylor was born in Seale, Alabama to Lewis Taylor and Eveleana (Evans) Taylor. William graduated from Oliver High School and went into the Army September of 1977 and was discharged with an honorable discharge in September of 1980.

William or to most who knew him “Meat” was kind but outspoken. He was a jokester, a fast runner and was a Marksman in the Army.

Those preceding William Taylor in death are his parents, Lewis and Eveleana Taylor; four brothers, Lewis Taylor, Dennis Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, and Saul Taylor; two sisters, Mary Taylor Morris and Sadie Taylor Toombs.

William leaves to carry on his joy and laughter his family, one brother, Henry James Taylor (Jonnie Mae Taylor); two sisters, Betty Taylor Bellamy, Eveleana Taylor Thomas and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
