Gervise Williams, 63, passed on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 1 Nuckols Rd. Phenix City, AL. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing is 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Gervise Lee Williams was born February 27, 1962 in Phenix City, AL to the late Gervise Lee Williams and Betty Williams. He was a 1980 graduate of Central High School, Phenix City, AL where he was a star basketball player. He was employed with Kysor Warren.
Gervise enjoyed sports, hanging with family and friends and he was a great comedian.
He leaves to cherish his memories:the love of his life for 40 years, Voncilla Johnson; three sons, Recardo Morgan, Arsenio Williams, and Emilio Johnson all of Columbus, GA; one stepdaughter, Chandra Johnson, one stepson, Derrick Johnson; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two aunts, Sallie Harper, ElPaso, Texas and Josie Mae Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
