Wilbert Lee Smith Jr., 60, of Greensboro, North Carolina, a native of Havelock passed Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro.

Viewing hours begin 10:00 AM Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His Service is 3:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2025 at Hyman Chapel AME Zion Church 2180 NC Hwy. 101, Havelock, North Carolina. The interment will follow at Hyman Chapel Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, William David Smith; father, Wilbert L. Smith Sr. and mother, Ellen Hardesty Smith of Havelock; sister, Angela Mallard (Ronnie), New Bern; three aunts, Mamie Smith, New Bern, Thelma S. Washington, New York, NY and Norma Nelson, Beaufort.
