TYLER---Services for Sandra Joyce Cumby Burrows is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1 pm, Union Station AME Church in Larue and burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Larue.
Sandra was born September 30, 1961 in Henderson County, Texas to the parentage of Alice Currington and James Cumby.
Sandra was a graduate of LaPoyner High School and joined the United States Air Force upon graduation. She served admirably for 20 years and retired with an honorable discharge and ranked as Technical Sargent – E6. She went on to have a successful career with McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fl upon her active-duty retirement.
Sandra was united in marriage to Brian Burrows on August 6, 1990. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Brian Burrows of Larue, Tx. She leaves three children to cherish her memory, Steven Lynn Ray, Jr. (Buck) and (Kelli Chapman) of Malakoff, Tx; Chaz Burrows and (Significant Other LeeDonna Haynes) of Tampa, Fl and Kiara Burrows and (Fiance - Javonte Capehart) of Tampa, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunt Luciel Hasley and many other loved ones.
She leaves the following siblings, Ray Cumby, Larue, Tx; Larry Cumby, Larue, Tx; John Dora, Hutto, Tx; Tracy Cumby, Fort Worth, Tx; Key Cumby, Athens, Tx; Shannon Torrelli, Galveston, Tx; and Sherry Smith Brown, Carrollton, Tx.
Her beloved friends left to cherish her memory are Carla Mobley, Austin, Tx; Nikki Stephens, Tampa, Fl; Michelle Byers, Kansas City, KS; Danette Porter, San Antonio, Tx and Ramona Childs, San Antonio, Tx.
She leaves an uncle, George Currington, Larue, Tx and two aunts, Georgia Spencer and Edna Pettie, both of Larue, Tx along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Sandra was an avid reader, sports enthusiast, loved shopping, being outdoors, and she loved her family immensely. She was caring and helpful with a heart as big as Texas. Most importantly she loved the Lord. Sandra was very well-traveled but her heart was in Moore Station and her dreams were fulfilled when she and Brian relocated home and were surrounded by her family.
Public viewing will be Friday, 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
