It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Ackerman.
Betty Jean Ackerman was born in Tallahassee, Florida on September 4, 1972. She was the daughter of Alfred "Albert" Ackerman and Lillian "Grace" Davis. She spent the majority of her career in the Home Care sector, where her caring personality excelled.
Betty was a fun-loving, caring person with an undeniable sense of humor. A genuine person who would give you her honest and straightforward opinion, while simultaneously giving you her last so you would not go without. She was a lover of Little Debbie snack cakes, a great seafood boil, and sports; if there was a game on, she was tuned in. No TV was safe from her yelling, especially during football season.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phillip "Billy" Davis, Jr.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory; brothers, Shawn Ackerman and Alfred "Lamont" Ackerman; Godson, Qy'ran Ackerman; a host of family, friends; Me, her loving niece, Stephanie Davis and a loving friend, Doris Jackson.
A celebration of Betty's life will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Strong & Jones Chapel, 629 W Brevard St, Tallahassee, FL 32304. Burial will follow at Indian Branch Pallbearer Cemetery. Suitable casual attire or your favorite team’s shirt is welcome in remembrance of Betty's passion for sports.
Betty's humor, caring and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
On behalf of the staff and management of Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Betty Jean Ackerman.
