It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Lou Anderson.

Mary Lou Anderson, 90, a former switchboard operator and housekeeper, departed this life Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was a resident at Lotus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, Florida.

Mary was born March 25, 1934, in Monticello, Florida. She was preceded in death, by her husband Roosevelt Alexander Anderson, Sr.; and other loved ones. She leaves to cherish in memories four children, Nichelle Faye Thomas (Timothy) of Orlando, Florida, Cassandra Denise McDuffie of Windermere, Florida, Roosevelt Alexander Anderson, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Gwendolyn Lusby (Byron) of Lawton, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church in Tallahassee or can be livestreamed via Facebook @ Philadelphia P.B. Church One Church Two Locations. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Strong & Jones Funeral Home (850) 224-2139 is handling arrangements.
