Charlie Thompson of Spartanburg, South Carolina, transitioned peacefully on March 15, 2025. He was born January 17, 1950, in Fairfield, SC.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grand father.

Charlie was preceded in death by: his parents, Stella and Celeste Thompson; sister, Wilhemenia Tate; brother, Alexander Thompson.

Left to cherish fond memories are: his ex-wife, Vanessa Thompson and her daughter, Kathy Collins (Bobby); his son, Charlie Thompson, Jr. (Cynthia); eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren all of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Patricia Gladney (Clinton) of Grove town, Georgia, Peggy Artison and Fredericka Earle of Moore, SC; brother, Lawrence Thompson of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mayfield Chapel, Duncan, SC. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
