Lois R. Baugh

Lois entered this life on March 4, 1940, the eighth child of twelve children, six siblings preceded her in death. They all were born to the late Oscar and Margaret Robbins.

Guided by a Mother who knew no other “Power” greater than God ensured, implied and impressed upon them to get a relationship with God. “The only one who would never leave you, nor forsake you.”

Lois accepted Jesus at an early age and joined Flat Rock Baptist Church, where after being baptized held a position as “Usher”, which she did willingly until her health started to decline. She loved being an usher and every Sunday. She strutted to her corner to hold her place with a smile on her face. In her words “Don’t Fool Yourself” and “Can’t Nobody Beat Me at Being Me.”

She was united in Holy matrimony to the late Johnny C. Baugh in 1961 and to this union four children were born. Cynthia, Stanley and Jasper preceded her in death.

She leaves behind one son Thomas (Cynthia Mitchell) to hold her memories in their heart. In her words “My baby” Tom did an exceptional, phenomenal job as caretaker to his mom. Along with some supporters: Cint M., Cint Merritt, always getting word of encouragement from Pastor Ric, Mother Annielee, Min. Carrie, cousin Janice, the hospice Care Provider and the Community. She also leaves behind one grandson, Stanley, Jr., one daughter-in-law Vanessa; four sisters: Coralee Harper, Claudia Hilland, Clara Twilley and Louise Brinkley; one brother: Robert (Bonnie) Robbins; one sister-in-law Annie Sur Robbins; countless friends she made along the way, a host of nieces & nephews.
