James Marshall Hooks, Sr., 79 passed at his residence Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Viewing Wednesday 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Amada Hooks, of the home; son, James Hooks, Jr., New Jersey; daughters, Consuela Coley, Greenville, Natasha Hooks, Tennessee; sons of the heart, George Langley, Bobby Langley, Greenville and Arturo Camacho Pina, Mexico; daughter of the heart, Beatrice Camacho Pina, Mexico; brother Alvin Ronald Hooks, Greenville; sisters Marion Beatrice Harper, South Carolina, Deborah Wightman, Greenville, Valeria Scott-Jones, New York and Brenda Joyce Hooks, Snow Hill; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
