Thomas Howard Powell, affectionately known as “T H,” was born on July 13, 1941, to the late Edna Powell and Fred Davis, Sr. He departed this life on March 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Powell, and two sons, Thomas Howard Powell Jr. and Keith Powell, both of Yonkers, New York.

Thomas was a very faithful, committed and prayerful disciple of the Lord.

Thomas was one of ten precocious and tightly knitted children, eight of which preceded him in death, Jesse Johnson, Leanna Golden, James Davis, Irene Dukes, John Golden, Fred Davis, Jr., Queen Esther Powell and Cardell Powell Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, a God-fearing and faithful woman, Celia Cobb; a devoted cousin, Jean Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00am-11:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 noon both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 374 Vance Ave, Memphis, TN 38126

Internment will be in Elmwood Cemetery 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104
