Ms. Bessie Lean Dalton Jones, 71, of Crawford, GA (originally of Stephens, GA) was born on March 15, 1954 to the parents of Earnest Dalton and Agatha (Shug) Mitchell Dalton. She left this earthly realm on March 28, 2025.

She worked at Dupont for many years and was a faithful member of Thankful Baptist Church of Stephens, GA. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, caring for others along with good ole fashion cooking.

She is preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Larry Dalton. She leaves to mourn five children: Cedric Jones of Crawford, GA, Anita (Derrick) Smith of Athens, GA, Deontay (Sheree) of Hull, GA, Jessica (A.J.) Perlotte of Crawford, GA and Carleone “CJ” Watson of the home. Her siblings: Joanne Ferrell of Atlanta, GA, Harry (Regina) Dalton of Veribest, GA, Paulette (Malcom) Cade of Stephens, GA, Earnest Gene (Gwen) Dalton of Veribest, GA, Flora Dalton of Stephens, GA, Albert McCommons of Athens, GA, and one aunt, Geraldine Dalton of Stephens, GA, and twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one goddaughter, Renee Baughens, and one godson, Demetruis Dalton, and special friends: Mary Ann Davenport, Sandra Mitchell, Gloria Richardson, Shirley Mapp, and Stacy Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.

She will always be remembered for her heart of gold, love for others, and loyalty to her family.

The repast will be held at Thankful Baptist Church immediately after interment.
