Obituary For Mr.Albert Edward Parker

Albert (Lloydie) transitioned this earth on Wednesday September 19, 2018, leaving wife Andria, daughters Laura and Lisa, grandson Mason, brothers – Freddie, Sydney, Clement and Basil, sisters – Etta and Rona, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and other family and friends to mourn his loss. Born in Hampshire, St. Catherine, Jamaica on November 23, 1946, Lloydie was educated at the Mt. Herman Baptist School and Excelsior High School on his way to becoming a computer systems analyst.

As a young adult professional, and in the early days of information technology use and acceptance, he worked at Computer Processing Limited in Kingston Jamaica. In 1974, he married Andria and migrated to the United States in the 1980s, settling down eventually in Hyattsville Maryland where he continued his system’s analyst work with High’s Dairies. The couple moved to Georgia in 1992 and welcomed twin daughters Laura and Lisa in 1994. The family settled in Ellenwood Georgia, where Lloydie continued his work as an independent contractor working on projects for the Department of Agriculture and B-Frame before retiring a few years ago.

He was an avid family man who could be relied on to sacrificially provide for the needs of immediate family, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. Soft-spoken and full of laughter, he was always slow to anger and will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

Prior to his demise, Albert was an active member of the White Oak Hills Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The celebration of his life will occur at the church on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 11 AM. Viewing will begin at 10 AM.
