Vicki Louann Hessler, 72, passed away April 3, 2025 after a 10-year battle with breast cancer. Her family was with her to celebrate a life well lived.
She was born in Las Cruces, NM on February 15, 1953 and grew up in Salem, NM. After graduating from Hatch Valley High School, her husband, Jordan Hessler, whisked her away to an eventful life in Florida. After many years and adventures, they had their daughter, Carly, and once she left home the two moved to Truth or Consequences, NM.
Vicki enjoyed her career as a certified legal assistant, but was most proud as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a kind soul with a passion for life. She saw the beauty in the smallest things – the beach, her garden, and the result of a recipe she’d never tried before. Vicki always found the silver lining even in the darkest cloud and that optimism spread to everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jordan Hessler; her daughter, Carly Armine Hessler (Shawn Middleton); granddaughters- Helen Liberty and Dawn Victoria Middleton; sister-in-law, Lorel Hessler Abrell; brother, Lawrence Adams; and many nieces and nephews. Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Crockett Adams, and father, Max Stanley Adams, Jr.
In lieu of services or flowers, she asked that family and friends remember her smile and to pass that smile on to others.
