OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Anaya Zachary, 14, who entered eternal rest on Friday, March 21, 2025 in Texas. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Pastor Ronald Francis will be officiating the funeral service.

Anaya’s memories are being cherished by: her father, Joseph Zachary of Baytown, TX and Carla Ferguson of Opelousas, LA; maternal grandparents, Johnny Lavine and Mathilda Jones, both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Trevon Zachary of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Janiya Zachary, Za’Naya Ferguson and Patiepe Guillory, all of Opelousas, LA; Godparents, Kevin Jones and Nicole Ferguson; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents, Austin Tyler and Joyce Zachary; maternal great grandparents, Charlie Lewis and Rita Lewis; and paternal great grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
