Joseph Hall, known to his family and friends as “Tommy” was born June 24, 1964, in Byler Hospital, Hartsville, SC to the late David and Mary Hall of Bridgeport, CT. He departed this life on April 8, 2025, as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, husband, Papa and father figure, he will be forever missed by all.
At the age of 2 years old, his parents relocated to Bridgeport, CT, where he attended school. After high school he worked with is father at Ditullio & Sons Concrete Company, Milford, CT. After several years he moved back to South Carolian before moving to Greensboro, NC to work with his best friend/nephew, Kevin where he worked renovating apartments and homes.
He never met a stranger and could fit into any conversation, whatever the topic. He had love for everyone and a big heart for all. Family was very important to him, even though he was the baby of his siblings “straight” at the end of the day.
On September 24, 2020 he was united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Melissa. Together they shard a very special bond that nothing and no one could break. Not only did he gain a loving wife, but a loving family of 2 sons, that took to him from day one, and 2 grandbabies that loved him unconditionally. He was known to them as “Papa Joe” and proudly excepted his role. His love for life was over-flowing, he never let anything get him down and did not worry. His zest for family and friends was real, loving, understanding and caring. Changing your bad day into a good day from just talking to him. His purpose was fulfilled - Joe will be miss. But just know that we are going to see you again one day in that sweet by & by.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Lee Hall of Bridgeport, CT.
