Mrs. Elmina Coleman age 68 passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga, Tn.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters and her grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.
Aisha Coleman, and her children, Samyia Johnson, Mickeyshia Rogan, Markist Rogan, and Anthony Newman Jr. all of Detroit, Michigan.
Soncharee Hodges, and her children, Niceau Coleman, Demarion Coleman, Terence Hodges Jr., and Kaliyah Hodges all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
A goddaughter, Zena McDaniel, and Zena’s children, Mykel Booth, and Makhi Bailey. Through Mykel Booth, Elmina was blessed with five great-grandchildren.
Elmina also leaves behind her devoted siblings. Sue Rutledge of McMinnville, TN, (Bill), Cathie Jackson of Murfreesboro TN, (Steve), Charles Grayson of Detroit, Michigan, Virginia Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee (Clinton) Barry Grayson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bobby Grayson of Detroit, Michigan, Lisa Burney of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and William Grayson, of Detroit, Michigan (Rosalind).
A host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Mina’s life was one of impact – an unshakeable woman of strength and perseverance. She will be remembered for her faith, her humor, her devotion to family, and the unconditional love she showed to all who knew her. She has earned her rest, and though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing that she is now at peace and free of pain.
Public Viewing, Friday, April 18, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Hellum Funeral Chapel.
Family Visitation, Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 12-1:00pm with funeral service to follow at Hwy 231 South Church of Christ 4331 Shelbyville Hwy. Murfreesboro, Tn.37127
