Darryl Eugene Ward

Born on August 12, 1963 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Jewell E. Robinson and Eddie Lee Ward. Darryl is known for his.generous spirit, infectious laughter, witty sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. On April 6, 2025, Darryl E. Ward entered his eternal rest.

Darryl was a 1981 graduate of Amos P. Godby High School. Shortly after graduation Darryl enlisted in the Army where he served three years and then immediately enlisted in the Army National Guard for the next twenty years, where he moved up the ranks to become a Staff Sergeant. During this time, he deepened his values of service, loyalty, and honor to be instilled throughout his life. After his retirement from the service, Darryl was employed by the then Tallahassee Community Hospital for over 25 years. Darryl continued serving his community with his employment with the Florida Department of Commerce as an Employment Security Representative for 21 years.

Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell E. Robinson and Eddie Lee Ward; Grandmother, Alma Robinson-Kelly brother, Michael D. Smith, and sister, and aunt, Anita L. Robinson, and uncle, Robert Kelly.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Kim Andrews Ward, two loving children, Darryl Jr. and Ariel. Bonus daughters Tashonne Timson and Jhebria Andrews, and bonus grandchildren Tahj, Skylar and Harmony, all of Houston Tx. Siblings: his twin sister Carol J. Ward, Sheila, twin brothers Victor Juan (Mica) and Vincent Thompson {aka White Boy}, all of Tallahassee, FL and Barney Joe Allen He also leaves several other siblings. A special nephew/son, Johnny Lee Thompson and special nieces, Shauntrell Thompson and Shalandra Ward, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Uncles Bernard Kelly, James Kelly (Valerie), godbrother, Freddie Rouse of Tallahassee, FL and a beloved cousin, Charles Robinson of Ohio.

Mother in law Ceola Andrews and sister in laws Cassandra Odoms, Pat Andrews - Dixon (Henry) and Gladys Andrews all of Pensacola Fl. Brother in laws Clyde Odoms ( Annette) Dothan Alabama, Willie Andrews Jr ( Vera) and Thomas Andrews ( Isabel) all of Boston MA and Douglas Andrews Pensacola FL as well as a host of other relatives, special friends, and loved ones.

Though his physical presence will be missed, his legacy will live on in our hearts

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 @ 3:00 P.M. at the Greater St. Mark P.B. Church. Burial will be 12:00 (Noon) Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
