Anthony Hampton, 55 of Long Island City, NY passed Saturday, April 5, 2025. The family will receive friends, Saturday April 19, 2025 from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, 511 Henry Street, Eden, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hairston Cemetery, 174 Shady Grove Rd., Eden, NC.

Anthony Hampton was born April 14, 1969, in New York City to Alice Hampton. He departed this life at the tender age of 55 years on April 5, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Queens, NY. He entered eternal rest less than 2 weeks before his 56th birthday.

Anthony enjoyed socializing with people from all walks of life and embraced every culture he came across. From dating the daughter of a congressman to working at a celebrity restaurateur (B. Smith), he certainly enjoyed some of the finer moments in life. He wore many hats in the restaurant industry, but he was most successful at just being himself.

Much like a chameleon Anthony became one with his environment, blending well with his surroundings to keep out of harm’s way and when the coast war clear he was always the most noticeable in a room. Nothing meant more to him than family, especially being a Hampton. In his words, “Daddy, (Essie Hampton) was the best father forever!

He is survived by; his mother, Alice, his mentor; Bob, his 2 sons, Luis and Marcus, his brother, Raphiel (Jocko), his aunt, Sonia, a host of cousins included but not limited to: Levette, Kymberly, Darrick, Russel (RJ), Patrick, David, Jeannie and Nancy as well as friends, family and associates from Eden to New York City.
