U.S. Veteran Maurice L. Cobb, age 64, of the Drayton Community, Vienna, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Funeral Services for Mr. Maurice Leon Cobb Sr. 64, of Vienna GA will be held Saturday April 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mark Baptist Vienna GA.
Our beloved Maurice Leon Cobb, Sr., was born on February 4, 1961, to the parentage of the late Mrs. Ida Mae Louise Weldon and the late Deacon John L. Cobb in Crisp County. Maurice answered the call of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Riverdale, GA. He was a 1978 graduate of the Vienna High School Vikings. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army. In 1984, he was employed with Kroger, retiring in December of 2024 after 40 years as Teamster’s President. I
In 1984, he was married to Ms. Carol Silas, and three kids were born to this union. On September 4, 2021, he was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Nancy Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, first wife, Carol, grandparents, aunts, and other relatives.
He leaves many cherished memories to his loving and devoted wife, Nancy Bryant Cobb; children, Kovey Cladd (Evon) of Jacksonville, FL, Margie Lynn Goddrum of Savannah, GA, Maurice Jr., and Stacy Gills (Darryl) of Hampton, GA; bonus children, Darrick Bryant of Warner Robins, GA, and Adrian Bryant of Vienna, GA; sisters, Gwendolyn Stripling (Vada) of California, Laverne Cobb, Tabatha Carter (Dewayne) of Vienna, and Contina Benoit of Orlando, FL; brothers, Bobby Stripling of Douglas, GA, Calvin Armstrong of Savannah, David Cobb of Germany, Larry Clark (Wanda) of Conyers, GA, Curtis Smith (Chimere) of Vienna, GA, and Reginald Gary; devoted sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gail (Norris) Bembry of Hawkinsville, GA, and Ms. Delores Lamons of Vienna, GA; one brotherin-law, Joseph Bryant III of Vienna, GA; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
