Dwight Eric Gary

Mr. Dwight Eric Gary was born on November 28, 1956, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and he was called to be with the Lord on April 13, 2025, at the University of Tennessee Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Crump; his brother, Anthony Gary; and his stepdaughter, Christina Miller.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Gary, and his daughters, Tamika and Martina Gary. Additionally, he leaves behind four stepchildren: Kim Jallow, Laurie Davis, Tracy (Josh) Easterday, and Jimmy (Ericka) Harness, as well as two sisters, Tonja (Joe) Agosto and Stephanie Crump. Dwight also cherished many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A proud Army veteran, Dwight dedicated many years to his work at Premiere Building Maintenance. He was a loving husband who enjoyed cooking, tinkering with electronics, known for his great sense of humor and his unique ability to give everyone a nickname.

Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, prior to the services at 11:00 a.m. Unity Mortuary of Knoxville, where Pastor Curtis Ackers will officiate.

Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m. where full military honors will be rendered.
