Joann Wright was born on January 19, 1950 in Greene County. She departed her life on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She went to Greene County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon and her husband Willie Roy King.

Joann joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Roy D. King (Kenyotta) and Brent King; her grandkids: Rodricus, Sandricus, Larecus, Dontrac, Zirecus, Tatyana, Heliana, Lynden, Jodie; sisters: Lillie, Wilmatine, Velma, Stephanie, Valessa, Tange, Deloris; one brother: Stevie; and a host of nieces, nephews and a close friend Linda Wright.
