Obituary For Johnny Drakeford

Johnny M. Drakeford, 61, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born June 3, 1957 in Kershaw County South Carolina and was the son of Daisey Gray Drakeford and the late George Drakeford.

Johnny accepted Christ at a young age and joined Ebenezer AME Zion Church.

Johnny was educated in the Lancaster County School System. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Daisey of Heath Springs, SC; two sisters, Marie Cunningham of Kershaw, SC and Judy Truesdale (Willie James, Sr.) of Heath Springs, SC; one brother, George E. Drakeford of Heath Springs, SC; two God daughters, whom he thought of as his own, Minnie Wright McCain of Kershaw, SC and Jessica Moore of Lancaster, SC; five God grandchildren; two aunts, Carrie Campbell of Kershaw, SC and Rosa Lee Brown of Lancaster, SC; four nephews and two nieces, La'Brandon Drakeford, Antwon Truesdale, Willie James Truesdale, Jr, David Truesdale, Ja'nice Drakeford and Ji'ya Cunningham; three great nephews; two great nieces.

Services will be Saturday, 2:00 pm at Stewart Funeral Home by the Reverend George Mingo. The family will receive friends 1:30-2:00 pm.
