OFFICIAL NOTICE OF EARTHLY TRANSITION: A Life Well Lived Mr. Ralph Council Valdosta, Georgia 1932 - 2025 "Excellence with Caring"

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that Harrington Funeral Home Inc. stands alongside the Council family to announce the passing of:

Mr. Ralph Council, age 92, born on August 24, 1932. Mr. Council was a devoted husband to Mrs. Ruth K. Council, his wife since 1957, and a loving father to their two daughters, Yvette and Lynette Council; and their granddaughter Imani Jere' Waters. A few notable accomplishments include:

• The Ralph Council Southside Clinic in Valdosta, GA, named in recognition of his tireless efforts to establish the clinic as a retired educator and hospital authority member. A distinguished career as a Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent for the Lowndes County School System. Founding member of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Association.

Mr. Council's life was a testament to faith, dedication, and service. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for God, family, and community.

Surrounded by his daughters, he peacefully rested on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

Celebration of Life for Mr. Ralph Council: With deep reverence and heartfelt remembrance, the family of Mr. Ralph Council announces his Homegoing Celebration, to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at: Macedonia Baptist Church - 715 J.L. Lomax Drive, Valdosta, Georgia.

Following the service, Mr. Council will be laid to eternal rest at: Riverview Memorial Gardens - 3945 North Valdosta Road, Valdosta, Georgia.

The Council Family invite extended family and friends to join them as they honor the life, legacy, and lasting impact of Mr. Ralph Council—a beloved soul whose memory shall remain forever in our hearts.
