Estella Tyler, born on May 30, 1939, in Leesburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Airy Tyler and was educated in the Lee County School System.
At the tender age of 11, Estella gave her life to Christ at her family’s church, Wooden Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg, Georgia. Her faith became the guiding light throughout her life, shaping her character, her choices, and her compassion for others.
Estella dedicated over 30 years of her life as a housekeeper for the same family, serving with quiet dignity, loyalty, and grace.
When she wasn't working, she poured her heart into her home and family—sewing clothes for her two daughters at her trusty sewing machine, tending to her garden, or relaxing with a word search puzzle and later with her Bible in hand.
Sunday dinners after church were a cherished tradition in Estella’s home, where family and friends gathered to share laughter, stories, and her signature meals. Her table—and her heart—were always open.
Estella is preceded in death by her parents, John and Airy Tyler; two sisters, Rosa Washington and Johnnie Mae Mitchell; and her grandson, Rodriquez Wright.
She leaves to mourn her absence: one devoted sister, Corine Flowers; two cherished daughters, Priscilla Tyler and Phyllis Rolle; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Emerson Rolle; one great- grandson, Elijah Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
Estella’s presence was a blessing, and her memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched
