Daniel Morris Butler, 85, of Canyon Lake, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on May 3rd, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, Texas.

Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Stoneburg, Texas.

He was born on January 28, 1940 to Lena (Lyons) and Dave Butler. He married the late Barbara Jameson November 23, 1964, in Houston, Texas. Together they raised three children. He worked as an electrician at Mauch Electric and later owned and operated DB Electric from 1989 to 2002. Daniel was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara Butler, and his son Kenneth Patrick Butler.

He is survived by his children; Diana Craig and husband Timothy of Canyon Lake, TX, James Butler and wife Jenny of Canyon Lake, TX; daughter-in-law, Margaret Butler of Blanco, TX; grandchildren, Ashley McLeroy and Chris, Ryan Butler, Richard Howell, Christopher Howell and Jordan, Trenton Butler, and Dusti Butler; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Luke McLeroy, Brinlynne McLeroy, Aria Howell, Jaylee Howell, and Kimber Howell.
