Linda was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Will and Helen Moore. She was the second of five children born into this union of whom two preceded her in death. Linda accepted Christ at an early age, attending Faith United Methodist Church in Chicago, Illinois. She was a graduate of Simeon Vocational High School and attended Olive Harvey Community College. She worked for the State of Illinois for several years before relocating to Turrell, Arkansas. She would spend her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She loved traveling, shopping, music and spending time with family. Her cheerful personality and affectionate smile illuminated those around her.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, her husband, Ned; two daughters, Kranise (Louis) Hawthorne and Toi Lauderdale of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren, British (Aaron) Echols and Halyn Hunt; two grandpups, Legend and Cirius; and one great-grandchild, Anora Echols, all of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Donna Walker of West Memphis, Arkansas, and Sheila Moore of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 2:00pm at RS Lewis & Sons 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38127
Interment will be Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 9:00am in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125
