Finally there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing". 2Timothy 4: 7-8 Denovas M. Crockett affectionately known as "Dee" was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by family and friends on April 18, 2025 at the age of 76 from a long battle of Parkinsons Disease. Denovas "Dee" was born on June 6, 1948, to the union of Denoy Michael Miles and Ollie Mae Miles. She was the second born of five children to this union. Dee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a retired East Baton Rouge Parish school system educator with more than 30 years of service. She is survived by four children through the union of her and Alton Crockett Sr. Alton Crockett Jr. (wife, Roxanne), Bobby T. Crockett, Shedrick J. Crockett and Lakedra L. Crockett, and one son-in-law, Herman Breaux Jr. Four grandchildren, Trevor S. Crockett, Jalon L. Breaux, Bryson T. Breaux and Bobby Crockett Jr.; three great-grandchildren Rylee G. Crockett, Ayva R. Crockett and Kobe T Crockett ; host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her grandson, Alton Crockett III. Dee was a very caring and compassionate woman and was always found serving others as devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
