Gloria Deloris Mosley Daniels, the seventh child of thirteen born to the late Lula Mae Boone Mosley and the late Henry Mosley was born in Steelton, Pennsylvania.
“Glo” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, received her formal education in the Steelton Public Schools.
Her Christian journey began in her youth at Beulah Baptist Church in Steelton under the late Reverend Louis Willoughby. Later in her Christian journey, she united with Christ Assembly Fellowship in the home of her son, Earl and also Locust Lane Fellowship in Edgemont, Pennsylvania. The Mosley family was one of the early founding families of Beulah Baptist Church.
Gloria married James Daniels on July 7, 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland. To this union, they were blessed with one daughter, Inez. James' love also embraced seven additional children, Delores, Eugene, Johnnie, Caroline, Donald, Earl, and Dale.
During her working career, she was employed by the Cigar Factory in Steelton. Notably she served as a Nurses Aide both at the former Leaders Nursing Home with more than twenty years of service and later at the former Dauphin County Nursing Home retiring with more than 30 years of service. She developed a lasting friendship with her former supervisor, Frances Sheets and have remained longtime friends.
Gloria was a very quiet, humble person who loved studying God’s Word and attending church services. She was very, very devoted to her children and five generations of grandchildren. Many called her ‘blessed’ at the age of 92, while at the home of her sister Mary for ten years, she could be found humming songs of the heart, cooking and baking for her family, and maintaining a daily independent lifestyle.
In the last few years her health began to change as she was in and out of the hospital. She would tell her family and friends that she wasn’t afraid of dying, “God has been good to me!!! “Mom”, “Grandmom”, “Glo” was grateful for all those who were her caregivers; son, Johnnie Mosley, grandson, Jason Mosley, granddaughter Teia Miller Chism and great-granddaughter Jasmine Cobb.
At the age of 92 years, Gloria Deloris Mosley Daniels transitioned in the morning hours on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving son and daughter-in-law who were also her caregivers, Earl and Billie Jo with whom she lived since October 2024.
