Celebrating the Life of Steven "Steve" Williams a devoted husband, beloved brother, uncle, godfather, and unforgettable friend, was born on March 3, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Samuel Williams Sr. and Merril Lofton Williams. As the sixth of eight children, Steve lived a life full of love, laughter, deep faith, and unmatched style. He departed this life peacefully at 3:45 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Steve began his education at Charles Edward Gayarre Elementary and Charles Colton Middle School, briefly attended John McDonogh, and proudly graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1984. He gave his life to Christ through the Seventh-day Adventist Church and deepened his walk of faith with the Brothers & Sisters in Christ, grounding his life in purpose and love.

On June 20, 1987, Steve married the love of his life, Trudyann Calhoun, in a ceremony led by Pastor Robert Brown. Their nearly 40-year union was filled with laughter, strength, devotion, and unwavering friendship. To Trudy, Steve was more than a husband — he was her protector, partner, and best friend.
In 1989, Steve and Trudy moved to Atlanta, Georgia, seeking new opportunities and a better life — a leap of faith that reflected his drive and resilience.

Throughout his career, Steve brought integrity and dedication to every role he held. He worked with Whitney Bank (1989), American Building Maintenance (1990), APL Logistics (2006–2013), Newell Rubbermaid (2008), AutoZone (2014), Shook & Fletcher (2015), and most recently, the DeKalb County School System (2015–2025).

Steve was a man of many gifts. His sharp wit, warm heart, and radiant humor lit up every room. He was known for his peacekeeping spirit, deep loyalty, and unforgettable presence. Whether he was singing, dancing, or simply showing up looking sharp — always "clean as a whistle" and dripped in gold and always confident — Steve made sure everyone around him was having a good time. He was both the life of the party and a comforting anchor during life's storms.

He loved him some New Orleans and was a die hard Saints fan until the end. WHO DAT!

In 2023, Steve courageously underwent and recovered from a successful kidney transplant, continuing to live a vibrant and healthy life until his passing.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Sr. and Merril Lofton Williams; siblings Cheryl Denise Williams, Michael Williams, and David Emile Williams Sr.; and in-laws Manervia Meeks Calhoun, Guy Lee Calhoun, Cynthia Beth Calhoun, Stephen Anthony Calhoun, and nephew Timothy Nicholas Calhoun.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Trudyann Williams; his siblings Michelle, Merril (Albert), Wanda, and Samuel Jr. (Enid); and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Coley Sr. (Bonnie), Timothy Sr., Ronnie Sr., Stanley Sr. (Darline), Paulette (John), and Sheakliann (Kenneth). Steve also leaves behind cherished aunts and uncles — Eloise, Linda Mae, Earline, and his mother's last surviving sister, Aunt Gladys. He was a beloved godfather to Lance, Chelby, Kyara, Jasmine Harris, Jovan, Jasmine, Trey, and Ebony. Steve's legacy also lives on through his many nieces and nephews: Nicole (Andra), Nikia (Tyler), Nidia (Eli), Maurice, Christopher (Tamika), Andre (Angelica), Arielle, David Jr., Albert Jr., Alton (Kayla), Joseph, Elisha, Aramist, Timothy, Nekia, Monika (Tim), Ebony (Delvion), Stacy (Chris), Chelby, Casey (Willie), Jameca (Albert), Coley Jr. (Da'Janell), Stanley Jr. (Jasmine), Ronnie Jr. (Taylor), Lance (Ramona), Shaun (Oreal), Katrina, Gary (Chicquita), Luke, Karlos — and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
