Linda Marie Owens Davis, affectionately known as Momma and Granny was born to Melberta Owens and the late Arthur James Owens in Chicago, IL, on April 12th, 1961.
This is where her story began.
At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Bethsaida Baptist Church in Chicago, IL.
Linda was educated in the Chicago City Schools and later moved to Eufaula, AL where she graduated from Eufaula High School class of 1979. She later went to UAA in Alaska where she obtained a degree in Business.
She loved Auburn Football (War Eagle), listening to R & B music especially Calvin Richardson
and watching plays.
She was employed at Wal-Mart 301 where she never met a stranger. She always greeted you with a smile and no one was a stranger to her. She loved life and all that it offered, even on bad day she had something good to say and a kind word to give. She indeed
exemplified the love that had been planted in her heart from birth. She loved her family and friends, and they loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving father Arthur James Owens. Grandparents Melvin
Washington, Alma Watkins, James Owens, Beatrice White 4 Aunts and 2 uncles.
She was blessed with sixty-four wonderful, loving and heartfelt years of life. Her 64 years brought her to the end of six decades of a long life.... She leaves a lifetime of cherished, loving memories to her children Derrell Davis, Marcus Davis, Gadsden, AL and Jamal (Shanara) Davis, Monroe, GA; three beautiful grandchildren, Marcus Davis Jr., Gadsden, AL, Joyclyn

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.

Public Visitation will take place from 12pm-6pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at West Gadsden Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Mission Baptist Church.
